Vienna 2019

Since we were (again) in Wien for Madrugada’s concert, we decided it’s time to visit St. Marx Cemetery, the place where a lot of celebrities were buried in their time (see a short list of them here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Marx_Cemetery), the most notable one being Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A nice place for a stroll if you’re not scared of graves. 🙂

If you want a piece of post WWII Wien atmosphere then Café Hawelka is the place to go, the place where in the past artists like Friedrich Stowasser and Oskar Werner used to come. More recently Nick Cave too.

If you’re into this kind of atmosphere, another place you might find interesting would be Café Hummel. For some live music just go to Café Carina. And pay attention to pictures on the walls in both locations. 😀
